Here’s an older SchoolBoy Q track that Nillz showed me last week. The whole TDE crew and Mac Miller make appearances on the trippy video put together by Top Dawg. Another upbeat party track in the bank for Schoolboy.
Cocaine 80s – Take My Keys
More new music from the Chi-town collective. This sounds like a John Mayer track straight up.

IndieBreak: Cocaine 80s – Queen To Be
Brand new song by Cocaine 80′s and I’m feeling it. Pretty cool track with a unique sound.

J. Cole & Selah Sue – Ragamuffin (Remix)
Cole spitting a few bars on a track that wouldn’t have been touched by any other rapper in the game is proof that rap is an art as much as it is a craft. There is no hip hop influence in this beat at all, but Cole shows us how the beat selection no longer makes you a good rapper. The bars you spit are what make you stand out, which is the way it should always be.

Curren$y – Capitol (feat. 2 Chainz)
No one is ready for The Stoned Immaculate… Including myself. This is going to be the best Spitta project to date. 6/5/12

Old Jam Wednesday: Major Lazer- Can’t Stop Now (ft. Jovi Rockwell and Mr. Vegas)
It’s been a while since I’ve done an Old Jam so I’m going to give it a different vibe this time. I know when you see the name Major Lazer you instinctively think its going to be some crazy moombahton drum beat with a reggae sample thrown somewhere in there, but this time its mainly just the reggae part.
Styles P – I Get High (LADSBLAZEDOUTBOOTLEG)
It takes this song a little while to get going but once it drops its so dope. This track was tagged under the genre Thug House so you can kinda get an idea of what type of sound to expect. It’s not your normal house track, it has a hook by Styles P and very glitchy synths but I’m liking it. Something different.

One Room – Tip Toe
More music from One Room. They had one of JustRecognize’s favorite songs of ’11 with I Want You and then followed it up with another solid release in Believe. Tip Toe is another smooth track by the New York duo. I’m excited to hear how their EP will turn out.
XXYYXX – About You
Really cool song, even cooler video. XXYYXX is a 16 year old bedroom producer out of Orlando and he’s been all over the blogs for awhile now. His sound is like a mix of Shlohmo and Clams Casino. Watching the video makes you appreciate the song.
Childish Gambino – Eat Your Vegetables
This track was released back in the end of April but I didn’t listen to it because I thought Childish’s last album was garbage. However, Eat Your Vegetables is pretty good. No doubt Childish Gambino can rap, and he displays that here. Hopefully Childish Gambino keeps putting out songs like this.

Jay-Z “Made In America” Music Festival
Earlier today, Jay-Z arrived in Philadelphia, PA for a “major announcement” alongside Mayor Michael Nutter at the Philadelphia Art Museum. The news was scheduled to be released at 10:30PM sharp this morning, but was leaked around 20 minutes before by the New York Time’s Art Beat. It has been announced that on September 1-2, 2012, the first two-day annual Budweiser Made In America Music Festival will take place in Philly’s Fairmount Park. Jay-Z is not only curating the festival but is also said to be performing at MIA. All acts performing will be hip-hop artists, although Jay is quoted saying a mix of ”rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and dance…” will take part in the festival as well. Stay tuned for full line-up updates & ticket releases (May 23rd).
XXYYXX – About You Feat. 2Chainz (DJ Fergie Ferg Edit)
Tello is gonna flip out when he hears this song. Every once in awhile I find a rap song that’s just pure gold, and this track is pure gold. The beat can’t get trippier, 2Chainz can’t get anymore hood.
