This another one of my random OWSLA discoveries that keep me going back to their soundcloud page. This weeks song of my choice is by David Hearthbreak, an artist whom was featured back in December with his track Daves Diner. It seems as though hes come a long way, signing with OWSLA and completely changing his direction in music. Boogie Monster is something you would expect out of Skrillex or Alvin Risk, going from hard trap to electro and maintaining a constant dubstep sound through out the song. If you’re looking to find something to either get a crowd jumping or simply jam out to on your own than this is for you.

Phoenix released their new album Bankrupt! a little under a month ago and the remixes have already begun appearing from various, fairly unknown, producers and Dj’s. Out of the select amount that I’ve heard, Will Bloomfield’s remix has to be the best. Infusing some chords and vocals from Trying To Be Cool with minimal based sounds gave this track a simple but chill vibe. Bloomfield has already become one of the producers to look out for, demonstrating more and more of his work on his soundcloud, keeping a certain trend of Indie artists to remix, make sure to keep your eyes open for him.

Kanye West SNL Performance + Album Release Date

This man Kanye West got 66 projectors and pointed them at buildings all across the world to debut his new track, New Slaves. Yeezy’s definitely an innovator, and I’m sure I would’ve gotten chills if I were to see Kanye’s enormous floating head completely massacre this track. Spitting with a voracious no-breath flow for about three minutes, he touches on subjects that would likely shock an all white crowd, but he expresses his disdain and anger towards the white race for the discrimination his race has been crippled by.

The visuals for his SNL performance are truly stunning & Kanye is definitely worth the view when performing live. Yeezus, Kanye’s next album is confirmed to be released on June 18th, so up until then we will definitely be seeing more hype from the G.O.O.D. Music Demi-god who is Mr. West.
